Josh serves as Pastor of Discipleship here at beacon Denver, where he oversees discipleship pathways and youth development. He is passionate about raising a generation of students who know Jesus deeply, walk confidently in their identity, and live out their faith with courage.

We believe youth are not “the church of tomorrow” but the church of right now, and we exist to walk with them as they grow in faith, identity, and leadership. Whether you’re a student or a mentor, there’s a place for you here!
STOKE creates environments for middle and high school students to grow spiritually and relationally. Through teaching, mentoring, worship, and service opportunities, we help students take ownership of their walk with Jesus. Our mentors invest intentionally in students, helping them feel seen, known, and supported as they navigate life and faith.
Serving in STOKE is all about shaping the next generation by showing up consistently with love, patience, and encouragement. Mentors often say their lives are changed just as much as the students, as they watch God work in real time through relationships and spiritual growth. If you’re passionate about investing in youth, this is an opportunity to make an impact that lasts far beyond a Sunday.
Youth Mentor – Caring adults that lead or assist in a Stoke Small Group through presence, conversation, prayer, and example, they help students feel seen, known, and supported while encouraging them to take ownership of their relationship with Jesus in a Christ-centered community.
